This half term children will be able to make links to show how feelings and beliefs about what makes and breaks friendship and unity affects their behaviour and that of others. They will discuss ideas about questions concerning friendship which are difficult to answer. The children will show how their own and others’ decisions about friendships are informed by beliefs and values.
Spring 2- 2018
This half term children will be able to make links between scripture and Christian beliefs and will be able to give reasons for when and how Christians use the Bible. We will be describing and showing an understanding of the Bible, the beliefs, ideas, feelings and experiences of the Christian and make links between them and how the Bible shapes the lives of Christians. Our children will be engaging with the question, ‘What is God like?’ or ‘What is Jesus like?’ in the light of religious teaching. Some children will be able to identify and explain how distinctive religious beliefs are inspired by the Bible.
Spring 1- 2018
This half term we are studying expectations. children will be able to make links to show how feelings and beliefs about expectations affect their behaviour and that of others as well as compare their own and other peoples’ ideas about questions about expectation that are difficult to answer. As children develop, they will be able to show how their own and others’ decisions concerning expectations are informed by beliefs and value and some will be able explain what beliefs and values about expectations inspire and influence them and others.
