Parent Guides

Thank you so much to all of our children for their lovely projects about animals. They are all amazing and I’m very proud of your hard work. Well done year 1! 🦁🐼🦊

Parental Engagement: What a brilliant afternoon for our Year 1 parents, grandparents and carers! They had the opportunity to work with their children exploring lots of exciting science activities.

We love sharing stories and reading with each other.

Year 1 visited the Epstein theatre to see a performance of 'Guess How Much I Love You.'

In ICT we have been learning about algorithms. We have been using the iPad to input a set of instructions.

We have been learning about instructions. We have had fun making our own sandwiches and writing our own instructions.

During our Come and See lessons we have been learning about Advent and the meaning of Christmas. We enjoyed making our own Christingles.

Year 1 had lots of fun at the Christmas party.

In Design and Technology we have had lots of fun looking at freestanding structures. We have researched different strucutres and designed and made our own.

In Geography we have been drawing maps of our school playground and looking at our local area.

In Science we have had lots of fun exploring using our five senses.

We have had lots of fun looking at primary colours and colour mixing.

Year 1 have been ordering numicon to 10 and counting using 1 to 1 correspondence.
