Year 1

Year 1 have been using a timeline to find important dates in their family history. πŸ•°πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘¦β€πŸ‘¦πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘§πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€πŸ¦³πŸ‘΅πŸΎ

Year 1 have been using photographs from their own family to find clues about the past.

Year 1 compared toys with from the past with toys they play with today. Miss Walker and Miss Buckley taught them to play an outdoor game from their childhood.

Year 1 interviewed Mrs. Rogan to find out about how shops have changed in our local area. We also did role play as shop keepers.

To find out about school in the past we interviewed Mrs. Sanders’ mum. We then recreated a classroom from the 1950s, where boys and girls were separated, there were chalkboards and children used real ink to write.
